The company PSILIAKOS HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT since 1968 supplies the Greek as well as the international hospital market with specialized hospital beds for Intensive Care Units (ICU) and with medical furniture.

The long tradition, as well as the high quality of the company's products quickly established it in one of the largest manufacturers of medical furniture in Greece, with a presence in over 40 countries.

The company joined the program "Upgrading of very small & small businesses to develop their capabilities in new markets" of EPANEK (NSRF 2014 - 2020) in November 2017 with a total budget of 200,000 euros co-financed by the Program by 50%. The subsidized costs of the company relate to salary costs of existing and new staff, patent costs, participation in exhibitions, production of advertising material, costs of certification of the beds it produces (CE), supply of new modern machines, upgrade of equipment, etc.

During the Covid 19 pandemic, demand for medical equipment, especially ICU beds, was particularly high. The company, in order to support the operation of the health sector, responded immediately, providing the necessary components from the European companies that cooperated and met all the requirements of the market by having specialized ICU beds of high standards, treatments meeting all European standards.

More than 250 specialized ICU beds were immediately delivered to the Greek health system for use, which are donations from third parties to the Ministry of Health.

At the same time, the company, having a high sense of social responsibility, provided the same donation to the Ministry of Health of 18 specialized ICU beds, supporting the effort to strengthen our national health system.

In addition, its specialized staff provided all the necessary transportation and installation services to the destination hospitals as well as the training of the medical staff in order for the equipment to function immediately and correctly, observing all safety measures and ensuring public health.

The company, which was supported by EPANEK, also contributed to the great national effort to deal with the consequences of the pandemic crisis.
