The European Investment Fund, managing the implementation of the JEREMIE initiative in Greece, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping, National coordination authority of the NSRF 2007-2013 in Greece, would like to kindly inform you that the Call for Expressions of Interest procedure for the selection of Financial Intermediaries that will receive JEREMIE resources for the implementation of the first JEREMIE financial instrument in Greece ("Funded Risk Sharing Financial Instrument") has been initiated.

The JEREMIE initiative, aiming to improve small and medium enterprises’ (SMEs) access to finance, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the Operational Programmes “Competitiveness and Entrepreunership”, “Macedonia - Thrace”, “Crete and Aegean Islands”, “Thessaly - Continental Greece - Epirus” and “Attica”, 2007-2013. Through this Initiative, Member States are given the possibility to use part of the EU Structural Funds for SMEs, through the implementation of financial products specially designed for them, such as loans and guarantees. JEREMIE funds are granted to SMEs through selected Financial Intermediaries.

The current Call for Expression of Interest is addressed to Credit Institutions which are legally authorized to carry out business in Greece and meet certain conditions / criteria as set out in relevant documents.
